Greetings! Under the aegis of the world health organization, which has set a target of eliminating measles and rubella by 2020, the Indian government has launched MRC (measles and rubella elimination campaign). Kindly refer to the CBSE notice regarding the same.

The campaign launched by Indian government for eliminating measles and rubella by 2020 had started its phased vaccination in Haryana from 25th April 2018 in partnership with schools-public and private. A single dose of MR vaccine will be administered to all targeted children (9 month – 15 years) during the campaign. Following the campaign, MR vaccine shall replace measles vaccine (which used to be given earlier under routine immunization, as 2 doses at 9 months & 16 -24 months).
