Success isn’t given. It is earned on the track, on the field, in the gym with blood, sweat and the occasional tears. Rabindranath World School facilitate the holistic development of students – be it academics or sports so that they can contribute enthusiastically to the nation in all possible ways. The school upholds the ideology that sports plays a vital role in the lives of students as it gives them a lot of things to learn about life apart from entertainment and cool moments with friends. Keeping this motto in mind, RWS organized an Inter-School Open NCR Boxing Championship from 27th Dec’17 to 29th Dec’17. The main objective of the event was to develop in students the sports man spirit and provide them a platform to display their physical prowess. Students representing 48 schools from Delhi NCR took part in the championship by putting their hearts and souls with a complete sense of involvement. The host school, RWS bagged the overall winners’ Trophy and added a golden quill to the feather cap of RWS family. The sports event provided an ample opportunity for healthy competition among students. Rabindranites had brought accolades by winning 15 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 6 bronze in different categories. The victory of RWS boosted the morale of spectators and they also felt the urge to participate. Rabindranites also got a good exposure by representing the school in 32nd National ITF Taekwondo Championship held at Jaipur. Rishabh Singh and Aniket Sehrawat of class XI bagged gold medals and became proud winners. Sanskar Bhati, a senior student of RWS had a glorious achievement by representing Delhi in Naitonal Cricket Tournament and had also been adjudged as the Man of the Match.

    Farewell

    RWS family bid adieu to outgoing class XII 2017-18 batch through an incredible event hosted and organized by class XIth students on 27th December 2017. The event started with great excitement. Students emerged into the fun-filled environment in their dashing and glamorous outfits.

    The farewell commenced with a welcome address by the Vice Head Girl, Aparajita Choudhary of class XI. The stage was set ablaze with the ramp walk and self-introduction by the twelvethies. The students could not control their excitement when the tags were announced. The highlight of the function was the cultural extravaganza. The students of class XI put forth scintillating dance performances, melodious songs and a captivating skit based on school life. Jai Sikand and Raajshree Vardhan were adjudged as Mr. and Ms. RWS respectively. Reminiscing nostalgic moments, the head boy Devansh Goswami delivered a speech on behalf of twelvethies, expressing their gratitude and admiration for the invaluable contribution of teachers in making their journey a memorable one. The Principal, Mrs. Manisha Singh extended her best wishes to the outgoing batch in their pursuit of a successful career. The farewell wrapped up in an emotionally surcharged atmosphere leaving behind memories cherished forever.

      Winter Carnival 2017

      The much awaited winter carnival of Rabindranath World School was held on 16th December, 2017 in the school premises. The school ground pulsated with scintillating music and a lively crowd. Visitors thronged towards a variety of attractively decorated stalls catering to diverse interests. The appealing game stalls set up by students invited prospective customers to try their luck at various games. Book lovers had a great time browsing and buying books of their choice. The aroma wafting from various food stalls magnetically pulled the crowd to treat their plate to a variety of delicacies. The carnival had something in store for everybody. A very special segment catering to the interests of the kids included a variety of rides and games. An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes ensured an unforgettable experience for all. Adding to the joy of the festivities was the announcement of winners of raffle draw. Divya singh of XI Com bagged the first prize and became the proud winner. The day will be etched in the memory of all those who were part of the carnival and made it a memorable one.
