Rabindranath World School celebrated its Annual Day on 26th Nov, 2017 at Air Force Auditorium, New Delhi amidst great fest, vibrancy and elation. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of honourable Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VM, ADC, and Mrs. Kamalpreet Dhanoa (President AFWWA). The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Mrs. Kamalpreet Dhanoa. The cultural event titled “Dastan-e-Virasat” was a true reflection of rich and beautiful tribal culture as well as the need of the hour to preserve this culture for the coming generations. The elegant and magnificent performances mesmerized the audience and offered a visual treat to all. The most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the Grand Finale “Nature Dance”. It added great élan as the enthusiastic students danced on the floor with grace and poise. The Chief Guest, Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, in his address, urged students to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials to carve a niche not only to bring laurels to school but also aim to bring glory to the nation as well. He appreciated the efforts of students and teachers who had strived hard to put up such a brilliant show. He also stressed the importance of co-curricular activities to endure the wholesome education which is essential for the development of all round personality of a student. He inspired students to work hard to achieve success in their life. He recollected the lines from Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If” and motivated students to handle both success and failure with grace. The Principal, Mrs. Manisha Singh proposed vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to the RWS family for their tireless effort to make the function a grand success. The cultural extravaganza culminated with the National Anthem.
