Rabindranath World School, Gurgaon organized Model United Nations 2016’ recently. The session commenced by lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Mrs.Manisha Singh. The young delegates representing different countries enthusiastically presented their arguments on topics of global significance. The thought-provoking ideas that were discussed included ‘Whether Gulf-States should take in more Syrian refugees and ‘Are humans the only cause for unreasonable climatic change?’. The young students came up with very effective suggestions. Delegates used their diplomatic skills, ingenious methods of reasoning and oratory skills to defend their country’s policies. They emphasized their country’s stance on the floor. The discussions were rigorous and intellectually challenging. The session of Open Forum witnessed heated debates by the members on the topic ‘Is Prohibition on liquor: Right or Wrong’. Students had a wonderful time in debating, socializing and discussing issues of national and international significance. Students got an opportunity to develop their ability of problem solving and to work with others who were equally motivated and passionate to deal with topics and issues of global concern. The two days’ rich experience culminated with the closing ceremony. The Principal appreciated the efforts and active participation of MUNites and gave trophies and certificates to the outstanding delegates.

    Rabindranath World School, Gurgaon celebrated the 70th Independence Day with utmost joy and happiness. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Chief Guest Mr. Vijender Singh, the top ranked Indian Professional Boxer and the current WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion from Haryana unfurled the tricolour flag. The students presented a mélange of patriotic activities, which created an atmosphere of national pride on the premises of the school's campus. The programme began with a dance performance by the tiny-tots of pre- primary section followed by musical rendition by students of middle school. He was spellbound with the performances by the RWS students. While addressing the students, Mr. Vijender shared his own simple childhood experiences with them and also gave them an important message to make sports an essential part of their lives because it is very essential to maintain health and physical fitness.


    School Chairman Wg. Cdr. Y. S. Tomar and the Principal Mrs. Manisha Singh addressed the students where they highlighted the need & responsibility to preserve our freedom and also to remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

      Rabindranath World School, Gurgaon, organised the Investiture Ceremony on 9th August, 2016 in the school premises. The momentous occasion commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting by the school principal. The ceremony further proceeded by the radiant school choir singing the vibrant school song. School’s Senate and House Heads were conferred by the Chairman, Wg. Cdr. Y. S. Tomar, Principal Mrs. Manisha Singh, Vice Principal, Head Mistress and Junior Head Mistress.

      The Student Council was administered an oath by the school Principal in which they vowed to adhere to the values and principles of school. Saarthak Gulhani and Disha Chauhan of class XII dawned as the new Head Boy and Head Girl, Devash Goswami and Udita Sharma of class XI were selected as the Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl respectively. School Principal urged the student council to hold the school’s flag high by discharging their duties honestly. The ceremony was wrapped up with the inspiring words of school Chairman, Wg. Cdr. Y. S. Tomar.
