The topic for senior school parents was on Understanding and Parenting your Teens. Large number of parents attended as the doctors addressed the common behavioural problems and stresses they face at that age. Parents should be understanding at this stage and earn the confidence of their child. It is important for a child to confide in her/his parents if they are facing any discrimination or abuse.

Parents were very appreciative of this initiative undertaken by the school. The Principal, Dr. Kiran R Banerji, thanked the doctors for sparing valuable time to interact with the parents.

        After School Drama/Storytelling/Music Classes
        Dear Parents,

We are really happy to inform you that Telling Tales - a Drama in Education company, is setting up an after school drama programme within the premises of Rabindranath World School. They are going to work with students to create plays that will open in Epicentre in January-February.

This is a great opportunity for the students to explore the world of drama and storytelling. It is an established fact that the exposure to arts at an early age can positively shape the personalities of young people. Arts plays an integral role in developing the ability to think creatively about the world that the child encounters. Drama, through its processes develops a number of skills in young people. These include problem solving, listening, perspective building, articulation, expression, working in groups, and negotiating with the world.

The programme will run for two age groups:

        Grades V - VIII ( Monday and Tuesday 4pm - 5.30 pm)

Grades IX -X (Monday and Tuesday 2.30 pm - 4 pm)

Each batch will only accommodate 20 participants.

Fee per month - INR 4000/- (for 8 sessions)

Transport is optional and will be provided on request.
